Learn to Search MoML through Murphy

For the past year, our library has been offering the electronic database Making of Modern Law. MoML is an essential reference resource for historical and contemporary legal studies, and allows users to trace the development of modern law in Great Britain, Ireland, and the United States through its most monumental changes.

Now you can search MoML through Murphy, the library catalog. To learn how to do this, please see the visual tutorial in this month's edition of Murphy's Law.

Who is Murphy?

Murphy is the law library's online catalog; named in honor of the former Supreme Court Justice, Governor of Michigan, and legal research instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Frank Murphy. The catalog contains item and bibliographic records for the library's monographs, monographic sets, serials, reserves, and course reserves. Murphy will allow users not only to locate a particular title, but also to search for multiple materials by topic.
