Audio-Visual Equipment
The audio-visual collection includes: laptops, camcorders, digital cameras, multi-media projectors, DVD and VHS players, and audiocassette recorders.
Audio-visual materials are located in locked cabinets, and requests for equipment must be submitted to the Audio-Visual Technician through the online request form located here.
Photocopying
Photocopiers are located throughout the library: one copy machine accepts cash; there is also a copy card machine located in the main lobby of the Law Library. Photocopies are $.10 each.
Digital Scanning
A digital scanner is located directly behind the reference desk. Directions are posted on the machine.
Microfiche Digital Reader
A microfiche digital reader is located on the ground level of the library. Copies are $.10 each.
Remote Access
Remote access to electronic resources is available at the following address: http://murphy.law.udmercy.edu/.
Westlaw / Lexis Patron Access
Four computers are reserved on the first floor for public access to Westlaw and Lexis, all with printing capabilities. Users will have access to state and federal laws, cases, and administrative materials. Quick reference guides are provided, and reference librarians are available to assist with research inquiries.
Reserving Rooms
The video rooms may be reserved for up to a daily maximum of four (4) hours (in half-hour increments). If you have not arrived to check-out the room before the first fifteen minutes of the reserved time has elapsed, the reservation will be cancelled. A state Driver’s License will be required to check-out the BARBRI videos, and will be kept at the circulation desk.
Automatic Defibrillator
The automatic defibrillator is located in the stairwell between the second and the third floors. Several staff members are trained in the use of this device, and general instructions are also posted on the machines.
