Visiting the School of Law
Visiting UDM School of Law is a great opportunity for prospective students to learn about our programs, meet with faculty and current students, and speak with admissions representatives. The Admissions Office invites prospective students to several Open House and Preview events throughout the year. Dress for the events is business casual.
Open House Events
Open House events are available to prospective students who are looking for detailed information about the programs UDM School of Law offers, including UDM’s nationally renowned Law Firm Program, clinical and externship opportunities, international study programs, and resources from the Career Services and Outreach Office. During this event, prospective students can tour the law school, speak with admissions representatives, faculty, and current students, and meet the Dean.
Preview Events
Preview events provide prospective students with an opportunity to receive invaluable information from faculty and current students in a small-group environment. These events are limited to less than twenty guests to ensure adequate time for prospective students to experience the community atmosphere among students, faculty, and administrators at UDM School of Law. Not only can prospective students tour the law school, speak with admissions representatives, faculty, and current students, and meet the Dean, they also have the opportunity to attend a law school class.
Planning Your Visit
The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law is located in downtown Detroit at 651 East Jefferson near the intersection of I-375 and East Jefferson Avenue. The entrance to the School of Law is located on Larned Street, which is on the north side of the School. Driving directions and hotel accommodations are available.
Admissions Event Parking
All guests attending an event held by the Admissions Office are welcome to park in our Student Parking Lot unless otherwise specified. This lot is located on Larned Street on the School's north side. There is no charge for guests parking in this lot.
